How to fix my wedgewood oven (stove)?

The door spring broke and fell out of my Wedgewood oven.

I got a new spring, but I can't figure out where it goes or how to get to it.

Please help, I'm having a party on Saturday!

    People used to use a cut off broomstick to prop the door closed on these old stoves. If you cannot figure out the spring, try that.
