Should I buy a size down in UGGs?

Basically, I'm a 7.5 in shoes, but I usually buy an 8. I bought an 8 in my last pair, but they're too big. So I'm thinking about buying 7's next time, which was my original plan. They recommend if you're a half size, go up. So I'm not sure.

    Go the size down if your last ones were too big

    ugg actually recommends you buy a size smaller

    im a 7.5 but i buy a size 6 in uggs
