How do you night potty train a 4.5 year old?

He has been trained for about a year except small pee at night. The pediatrician didn't seem concerned he isn't trained at night yet, but I am ready to push it along more. Any tips?

Update:

Thanks we do stop drinks at dinner 6pm and bed is at 8pm he goes potty first. Still has the small pee in morning. I haven't tried waking him at 10pm when we go to bed yet or undies. Any other ideas?

Our son is 3 and we have him fully day and night potty trained.. As long as your going through the day with no accident then you can try this..

if his bed time is 8pm stop drinks at 630. give him an hour and half to digest and pee it all out. My son if we dont do this and he gets drinks after 7 will be up to 9ish peeing.

another thing you can do if you dont mind laundry is letting him go to bed in underwear my ma did that with my bro after a couple times of wetting himself in bed he learned he did not like it and stopped.. My son we did pull ups and praised him when they were dry in the morning.. Then after they had been dry we just told him we forgot to buy them and would get them tomorrow.. LOL so far soo good

Just placed her at the potty, should you use a potty seat transfer to a rest room insert so she sits on an grownup rest room. Every hour and a part to 2 hours placed her at the potty, even though she says no. Soon it's going to be a pursuits and she's going to begin going at the potty. I've educated over 50 kids this manner and all had been educated earlier than three years ancient. Good success

Does your kid look interested in the potty-chair or toilet, or in wearing underwear?

Potty Training is a massive phase for little ones and dad and mom alike and the secret to accomplishment is this https://tr.im/iajnW .

The system begin Potty Training covers a variety of topics. She talks about variations amongst training boys and women. She has special sections in the program for special wants children (autism, down syndrome etc) and also a area especially for twins/multiples, and older kids who could be more challenging to train.

The greatest component of the plan is the “bumps in the road” section, which each potty training parent will face during potty Trainingso this system is the very best plan for your kid.

I used to refrain from long drinks before bed, and make them go before sleep. I would wake up again before you go to bed.

Once asleep the need to pee or poo goes away, so the next one would be first thing, and/or when they wake.

It just happens on it's own.You could try having him go right before bed, then waking him up to go before you go to sleep.I did that when my daughter had some accidents.Other than that there isn't much you can do.
