Would you ever date someone in person that you met online?
If you met someone online that lived close to you/in the same town and you really liked them, would you date them or feel embarrassed to date someone you met online?

I am married to someone who I met online. We have been together for 7 years now and she is absolutely incredible. I am not saying that it will always work out that way. Even though we met online, we spent a lot of time talking before we met. We talked for about a month before we thought of meeting up. If you are going to try and meet up with this person MAKE SURE YOU ARE 100% COMFORTABLE with the idea. if you have ANY doubt then wait! If they really care about you then they will totally understand taking it slow.

If upon meeting you still liked them why not? there are so many people who met from online dating sites or online here and they are very happy. It makes no difference as long as the person is honest and trustworthy and a good person. go for it.

I would. The thing with meeting someone online though is that it makes it really awkward to meet in real life sometimes, because you opened up so much behind a screen and now they are right in front of you, living and breathing. It is overwhelming.

That's how I met my first boyfriend. We met each other online, but found out we went to the same church. So we met. I got to know him of course..

Date her? I married her. I'm not ashamed to say I met her online. The fact of the matter is that I wasn't even looking for anyone when we met.

owringe has the right idea....first I'd meet them somewhere to make sure they were actually who they said. No shame in dating someone you met online.

Honestly it depends. I'm 14 so as of right now, oh haiiiillll no. Probly some kinda pedo tryna creep... :O But maybe when I'm older... I'd need proof that they were real and it'd be awkward talkinng to them but I'd get over it eventually.

I would :D Of course I'd make sure they weren't a creepy old pedo in a white van first xD
