What would be some examples of good performance goals for admin assistants?

I feel like I do the same things year after year and I am fresh out of ideas. I submitted what I thought was good goals and was told to re-do them.

Update:

I would like to attend some seminars or training classes but every time I ask, I am told it's too expensive. $129 for 1 or 2 days; others in the company get to go to week long conferences on the company dime but $129 for me to go to a seminar/conference/ class is too much. It's very frustrating. My boss doesn't help at all with goal-setting even thought the form says we are supposed to meet. He gives me the form, says fill it out and turn it in. Ugh! Oh and last year when I put down that I was happy and just wanted to be happy for awhile, I was told that was not appropriate for the form. Why do we have to have goals, every year? Why can't you just be happy for awhile?

List seminars you want to attend that will boost your value as an employee. There are several seminar companies that regularly hold seminars near major cities. (This will be at the company's expense as it costs several hundred dollars to attend.)

Let them know you want to learn new things. The more you know, the more valuable you will be to them.
