Just how hard is it to play the triangle in an orchestra?

I want to join an orchestra but I'm too lazy to learn to play an instrument. This seems like the perfect way to get my "foot in the door".

Update:

I can tap a tune on the side of a soda can with a chopstick, so maybe I'm just naturally gifted?

No one just plays the triangle. The triangle is played by a percussionist who is also handling several other percussion instruments and needs to be able to play every one of them at exactly the right time and keep track of how many bars are going by as he moves to the next instrument.

Sorry, you would need to learn to play several other instruments, including mallet instruments like xylophone, extremely well to even be considered.

Extremely. There is a long history of artistry behind the triangle, so don't think it's a lazy instrument.

No one gets in an orchestra on triangle alone. You'd have to be an all-around percussionist.
