Ok Bonanza fans, help me with the last episode?

The series lost steam AFTER Dan Blocker died from complications followimg a routine surgery.They tried to do another season after that but ratings just were not there after Dan died.... The last episode filmed was "A Place To Hide" in January 1972.In it Little Joe made a reference to Hoss being dead by sharing with his love interest Hoss' favorite spot to go to relax.By that time they had Candy,Griff and Jamie as part of the regular cast."One Ace Too Many" aired on April 2, 1972.

Ben horse was named Buck-Adam's horse was Sport-Hoss' horse-Chub and Little Joe's horse was Cochise.Adam's mothers name wes Elizabeth-Hoss' mother was Ingrid-AND Little Joe's mother was referenced as both Marie and Phillica(mistake don't know) but was orginally Marie.

Here on TV LAND network they show an afternoon's worth of episodes. I could go on :) but hope this helped.

I love Bonanza even still. If I could find reruns, I'd watch it all the time. And lately I've been missing it a lot, don't know why. Ben, Adam, Hoss, Little Joe, Hop Sing. Was a good, if sometimes corny show. However, I can't remember how they ended it. Did they simply stop...

I do not remember how the last episode ended but it ran for 14 Seasons. After the 13th season is when Dan Blocker died. After the 13th season but before the 14th season Michael Landon/little Joe wrote an episode for Dan Blockers/Hoss, to display his acting skills.unfortunately dad died from complications from surgery. Little Joe took the roll on as he was the one who was married and about to have a kid. what happened during the filming of the episode Little Joe's wife was killed and burned in their house. Michael Landon and Lorne Greene film a scene crying and holding each other in front of the burnt down house. After cut was called the crew stayed silent before joining The grieving pair while Landon and Green stood there crying and holding onto each other as they were actually thinking about Dan Blocker and losing him. Also the 14th season of Bonanza was the first time ever that the death of character was acknowledged. Pernell Roberts was the last living main character from Bonanza.

watch as a family.

Our two year old son use to run around

out side in his diaper cowboy boots and

a Hoss hat. While my husband worked

in the garage. Hubby always knew where

he was - buy the clicking of those little

cowboy boots. Soooo cute and so sorry

that we never took a picture.

He loved Hoss. Hoss surly did make the

show - without him - it was never the same.

You find the reruns - I'll bring the Chinese

yummies. We have a great Chinese Restaurant.
