my shadowmere fell off a cliff near darkstar sanctuary so i waited a couple of days in-game and now he's GONE! does anyone know where he could be?

You have to go back to a save when he was still alive...then go to http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=... download this mod and it will make it so that none of the horses can die in the game.

LOL..my guess is about six feet under -- or it was devoured by wild animals.
I honestly don't know, can't say I've had that one happen to me.
