From Liberals. I frequently read Liberal blogs and news sources as a form of fact checking. In general if you want to check the validity of a claim by one side the best place to start is with the opposition and then work your way back and forth while hunting what few unbiased sources you can find.
Have you actually ever visited Liberal blog sites like the Huffington post? I've seen posters there pushing to inject beef with mad cow disease to punish meat eaters, calling for the deaths of conservatives and far worse. I see stereotypes used in the majority of the posts and insults are normal operating procedure on most Liberal blog sites. Here on YA it's actually mild but look at the many Liberal posts (exclude the trolls both Right and Left who are usually actually people of the opposite viewpoint pretending to be a Right/Left winger and saying outrageous things) Instead look at how prevalent the use of stereotypes are in Left wing questions and answers.
You'll see the same from Right wingers but not as frequently. Both are equally guilty of assuming you are a X-lover if you don't agree with them. For example criticize the GOP and watch how often you get accused of being an Obama fan. Criticize Obama and you get called racist, a Bush fan and uneducated. Fact is a lot of people hate both Bush and Obama. Has nothing to do with religion, race, or their level of education. Opposing the GOP doesn't make you a Liberal or a Democrat, opposing the DNC doesn't make you a Conservative or a Republican.
Me I'm a conservative populist. I despise the GOP and despise is too mild a word for what I think of the DNC. If I had to stereotype liberals, something on YA that would be easy to do since they are so cliquish and slaves to political fashion I would do so as socialites. Cold, arrogant, cliquish. More worried about being with the in crowd than what that crowd stands for. They derive great pleasure from feelings of superiority over "brutish" Cons. Most actually believe that to be a Con you have to be a card bearing member of the KKK who lives in a trailer with their mama and watches NASCAR. That anybody with a college education even though most Libs don't actually have one would be "enlightened". That they believe were the social revolution to happen they would be part of the people in power and making the changes.
This does differ significantly from the Liberal population at large as I know quite a few Liberals who are deeply embarrassed by the behavior of YA Liberal posters and Liberal bloggers. Many of whom support so called "Con" issues such as the 2nd amendment and who have mixed feelings about many issues like abortion but who feel that the greater good is still served by social liberalism. They've avoid the fanatical party line that most Liberal YA posters toe.
To contrast that most Conservative YA posters tend to fall into these groups. The GOP Party liners. Usually these folks are big talk radio fans and adore Rush Limbaugh as you see them regurgitating so much Limbaugh and Hannity spew. The moderate Conservatives typically from Blue states who tend to feel kinda left out by both parties as neither really represent the. The Ron Paul crowd which is quasi Conservative since their views aside from fiscal issues and social issues tend to be more in line with extreme Left wing. Conservative Populists like myself (There's about 4 others that I'm aware of who have earned top contrib badges here), Far right Christian extremists and the Libertarians (not counting Ron Paul style Libertarianism).
As for facts about Liberals, that's a contradiction as Liberals aside from official stances are individuals. Thus impossible to characterize outside the official stances without using stereotypes. Stereotypes are by definition non-factual, thus you can't have "facts about Liberals" or Conservatives. Fanatical Liberals and Conservatives seem to forget that the whole world doesn't fit neatly into their way of thinking and that many people think both sides are off their rocker. So your very question itself is to use a stereotype to query about the sources of the other side's stereotyping of yourself. Sounds like a question you don't actually want answered.

I get my facts about liberals from actually meeting them.
There are a few classifications of liberals:
1. Naive Idealist: This type of liberal is ordinary and can even be a nice person. Unfortunately, this person is so spoiled by the comforts of our society and ignorant about human affairs that they believe terrorists can be won over with kindness
2. Borderline Liberal: This type of liberal typically thinks that government regulations and amoral social policies are beneficial to the well-being of all. If you disagree with them, they might not try to kill you.
3. Raving Moonbat: The most common and virulent classification of liberal. They are typically drug addicts, psychopath chauvinists, liberal arts professors, and Hollywierd celebrities. They believe that people are inherently good but their lives should be entirely regulated by the government for the safety of all and that life should be easy and comfortable at any cost (mostly to others). Especially when it's being paid for by the people they hate and secretly (and sometimes not secretly at all) want to mutilate to death. Moonbats are extremely violent and harbor a burning hatred against anything that could be considered innocent, good, or virtuous. No man, woman, or child is safe from their wrath if the Moonbats want something bad enough. They are 100% selfish and worship any political or business group that steals and destroys on their behalf. Especially Obama who is the messiah.

I am a regular listener to Randi Rhodes, Stephanie Miller, the Lionel Show, Leslie Marshall. I read the Daily Worker, and my local newspaper. I have lunch regularly with a Communist and a moderate. I watch Rachel Maddow once in a while.

They get their "facts" from Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Tran Coulter, Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Michael Savage, and Michelle Malkin. They all hear the same crap, they all repeat the same crap to each other and then they feel reassured that they're right to believe all the crap because somebody just repeated it to them. It's a form of mental illness, I'm sure.
