The person wishes that he spent time with the one he wants and he wished he could see where his life was heading so he could make that person the part of it and now he misses that person he lost.

Drive by Incubus.. it came out when I was about 12, and going through a transition in my life... moved to a different town where I didn't know anyone, had my first mutual love with a boy (even though we were way too young).. it's just a very nostalgic song for me, and always gives me a feeling no other song has given me.
