If St. Stephen was the first Christian martyr...?

It could be one of thousands. Steven is the first recorded martyr but there is no reason to believe that he was the only one killed at the time. He was killed around people who could write so it was recorded.

many christians were killed at that time by the Jews and Saul later to become Paul ( st Paul) lead the killing, we do not have the names of all who died. but any who dies for their faith are martyrs not just those named as saints of course many of the apostles and paul himself in the end had horrific deaths at the hands of Jews.

The second guy was the second person who was rounded up by possibly Saul of Tarsus to be put to death. Many were gathered and executed. Stoning was a common method of the day.

Doesn't say. Saul (later Paul) worked out a bloodbath for lots of them.
