Jesus sacrificed himself to save us from sin...........?

So how come newborn babies need to be baptised to remove original sin? Did jesus not do a thorough enough job?

Update:

The whole point of sin is retarded, god made us in his image, but we were tempted to sin....if god did a better job of making us more in his image we'd be just as awesome as him, so in other words god ****** up. I mean you don't make a faulty product and then blame it for being faulty.

Baptism is an assurance from Lord Jesus for everyone who receives it to become a member of his kingdom. For sure, we don't know about those who are not baptized; since God is their judge, we leave it in His hands. But for those who are baptized, are surely the children of God and they will be saved by Jesus. A man can lose this salvation only through continuous rebellion with God. Otherwise, it is a free gift to all souls who wish to get saved through Jesus.

According to Christianity he died so who ever BELIEVES in him may have a shot at heaven and be forgiven for their sins. baptizing a new born is seen as wrong in many christian denominations given that they cannot make a decision for themselves whether they want to get baptized or not yet. so apparently jesus did do a good job,but you have to say you accept it for it to be effective for you.

Jesus died, how do you know that he died for your sins? Jesus died for his own sins.
