Rule of thumb, if its anything new dont even bother. but older games that have no co-op should work.

For example, I bought Guild Wars used... did it work? no. Luckly they gave me a working key but it took a whole week. You dont need to go out of your way for that. Games like Battle Field 2, borderlands, etc use online servers & require a key to tie it to your account on w.e companys online play systems called. All keys like this are one-time use keys unlike installation keys. Say you buy BF3 for example, they wont even bother to help you get working key the moment "used" it mentioned.

Anything single-player & doesn't require 3rd party DRM (I would look it up) should be okay though to buy.

Yes there are loads of them. The only thing is check that they will run on your computer as I have had problems in the past with my pc being too modern to run very old games but most will work fine.

Amazon marketplace has lots and they can be very cheap if there are a lot of one title. Shop around on there first you can usually get a good deal for a product with. I damage that'll work perfect.

It depends. Game companies are using serial numbers that connect to an online account. (Steam, EA online, battle.net) This ensures that only one person plays at a time. So a used serial will not work. If they are selling the account information it may work. Older games that are like 5+ years old will probably work.

Yes, you can buy used PC games and play them on your computer. Another option is http://www.half.ebay.com/, where you can buy and sell used games.

yes.. but you will not be able to register it, if the owner has already registered it to the manufacturer's site... like if I bought a game like The Sims 2 and I had registered it to EA GAMES... and then I sold it.. they could play it, but they would not be able to register it... but other than that... it will work perfectly :D

    legally no

PC games are an exception to rules of ownership

when you buy a game, you aren't actually buying the game, you are buying a license to USE the game... and this license is not transferable.
