Passport help!!!!!!!!!!?

Ok, I have 10 days untill I leave for my trip to mexico and my passport has expired I live 5 hours away from chicago and I will drive to chigaco if I have to but If it is not necisarry do I have to? Also my mom was going to get it for me because I will have class during the day do I have to go with her or can she bring a picture of me to be put on my passport? Please help!!!

    www.state.gov. You need to go to the regional passport office in Chicago and take the necessary paperwork with you. You should contact the office by telephone to find out if your mom can do it for you.
