How to make my 50" LG plasma tv look clearer?

so today my dad jus got this tv and the picture isnt as clear

as we expected it.. we hav On Demand.. wat can i do to make it clearer???? shud i change something on settings???

    You have to upgrade your service to one that includes HD. You are watching 70 year old standard def on a high-res display so it looks like crap.

    Feed that TV real HD and it will be jaw-dropping.
