Have I missed something? In what universe has Detroit had a turn around?

Aren’t the only reasons the US auto industry is selling a few more cars than before is pent up demand and that Japan’s auto industry has not yet recovered from the earthquake, tidal wave and nuclear meltdown?

Update:

Yes Logan I go to Detroit fairly often the last time was in November, I have not seen an improvement and as for the spirit I find that it is a spirit of entitlement and it is that spirit that holds the city down.

Don't forget the Tax payers of America who have nothing to do with making Autos had to bail them out tens of Billions. Once thats gone, they will only be in trouble again, since they didn't change what made them fail the last time around. Its all politics. Detroit is a pit hole destroyed city by liberals and keeps getting more violent and dirty.

Detroit is seeing a resurgence. I live here, I know. Contrary to what the rest of the ignorant country believes, Detroit is a beautiful city with wonderful cultural venues, a beautiful waterfront and lovely historic architecture. Not to mention our spirit. Have you ever been here?

Yes, Japan's troubles have had something to do with it but also their little accelerator problem had a hand in it too. Add to that GM and Chrysler have expanded their products.

Nothing rides like a Buick, no car is more luxurious then a Caddy and nothing lasts like a Chevy truck.

    BUY AMERICAN OR BYE AMERICA!

@obamamanupilatesus...do a little research and find out just how many jobs in and out of the industry are linked to the American auto industry. I think you'd be surprised.

***edit: honestly, it is so sad that you could go to a place and totally miss it while you are there.

They are trying to not let you notice the biggest gains were at Ford who refused bailout money.

May Obama and all libs burn in hell and may I get to pee on his head from heaven once a day.
