So Illinois is now considering registration of precious metals: Everyone would have to show ID to buy, and sellers would be required to keep records. The typical playbook is registration first, then confiscation. Obama is widely seen as the next FDR, and FDR confiscated the gold

Details: In Obama's latest energy speech he said that his policies will require that cars and trucks double their fuel mileage. Then he said this would save the average American $8,000 per year.

Does the Senate’s two month extension of the payroll tax reduction prove they have no idea how the laws they make effect the rest of us?
Payroll tax is calculated and reported on a quarterly basis (3 months) it is currently not possible to have a two month rate. In order for this to happen the forms would need to be redesign. The government computers would need to be reprogramed and since most payroll reporting is required to be filed electronically new specs would have be sent to all the payroll software vendors and payroll services. Those companies would have to rewrite their software. All of this would have to happen before we can issue paychecks to people in January about a week from now.
2 AnswersPolitics9 years agoI have some questions about the 1% vs. the 99%.First, what does your net worth need to be to be in the 1%?
Second, they say that the 1% control 45% of the wealth, how do we know that? Nowhere is anybody required to report their net worth, so how do we know how much anybody or group controls? Finally what is the total wealth? Don’t we need to know that to determine just what percentage anybody controls? And in thinking about it doesn’t it seem odd that the 1% controls that much, I mean the government must control a huge percentage what with all of the real estate, Fort Knox, ships, aircraft, spacecrafts and everything else it owns

I get corporate corruption. I get cronyism and behind the scene deals. And I agree those are not good things but they really don't fit under the category of corporate greed. So what is it outsourcing? Is that it or is there more?
