    The equation would be:

    (x + 3/4)(x - 4) = 0

    so

    x^2 - 4x + 3/4x - 3 = 0

    x^2 - 13/4x - 3 = 0

    a quadratic equation is

    x^2 + (sum of roots) x + (product of roots) = 0.

    you have both the roots,do it yourself...
