Does this guy like me? I don't know!!?

Every once in a while, this really popular hot guy stares at me. When the teacher partners us up for projects, he flirts with me, and it seems like he tries really hard to make me laugh. But then again, he does that to every girl. But it seems like he once tried to get close to me. In P.E., he grabbed my hand for a few seconds while doing laps then after a while, he let go. I do admit, i kinda like him.. But he also shows true feelings for this other girl, and he flirts with her, too. when I asked him if he liked her, he blushed real bad and said 'no'. when i asked him if he liked me, he didn't really blush and said 'no'. I'm having trouble who he really has feelings for, and once i know, i can truly just brush it off. but he'll never tell me! P.S. we're really close friends. But ever since the 2nd semester, i've been seeing him differently and i think he has too. But how can i know for sure?
