Before going out and buying a car, go to a bank or credit union, and ask them how either you taking out the loan yourself or you both taking it out jointly would affect the loan.
With the better credit score, taking out the loan yourself may get you a better interest rate and lower down payment. However, depending on how much money you make and how much debt you personally carry, it may work out better having your husband cosign with you.
But, exactly which of the two options is better is hard to say without actually working with a lender up front.

A credit score is based on a 12 month activity and usually goes up between 5 to 10% per month proving you are paying on time. You should by the vehicle together but it would be best if you could wait another 3 months so you'll both be over 660 which gives you a better rate. Also make sure whoever this assign the financing to belong to the credit bureau.

The interest rate is based not only on your scores, but the year make and value of the car. Co signing a loan with your husband would only help, considering your net income ratio would be more with both of you on the loan, and would also help both of you with your credit. If you are unsure, do a pre application with just you, and one with both, and see what the bank says the difference is. Good luck and happy car shopping :)

No both your scores will get you the highest rate of at least 14%. It is the average and his brings yours down.

Your score seems higher so I would say you should apply alone. If I saw him on the app, I would see you collectively more as a risk.
