Computer Wiped Clean System 32 Error, Won't Start Up 10 PTS?

The full story:

I came home to 20-21 System 32 error messages on the computer. My mother like most don't know what happened, could not explain what happened, so I figured she downloaded a virus. The messages said "System 32 Error, restart" I clicked Ok to try and get rid of the error boxes. Computer instantly restarted.

It came back on, desktop icons were wiped clean. In Start Menu EVERYTHING was wiped clean. I mean "My Computer, Control Panel, My Documents" all those options were gone. Even Taskmanager wasn't there. All my program files gone from their location. They WEREN'T deleted. Under the area where you can "pin" programs to your start menu, my most clicked on programs like Microsoft Word and Media Player popped up fine. It worked. But going into Program86 folder, everything was gone.

I asked the question here on yahoo answers and got some good advice. I used Rkill program and it got my task manager back. I installed malwarebytes and it got rid of many infections, but everything was still cleaned. I used SYSTEM RESTORE. After that, everything came back in its original form. I thought I solved it. AFTER that I tried to run a full scan with Kaspersky, BUT suddenly the rogue virus appeared with a fake anti-virus scan with a fake name...

And my computer instantly restarted. It doesn't start back up. It goes into a black screen after the initial Press F9, F10, F11 for help screen. Problem is, none of those commands work. The "system repair recommended" option goes to a black screen as well. I don't know how to get safe mode, but I don't think the comp would start up there anyhow. The only option left over is to System Restore a 2nd time, or is there something else I can do?

Any HELP is greatly appreciated.

You should try safe mode even though it may appear that it won't load. Restart the computer by either restarting from windows or holding down the power button to shut down the system.

Then press the power button and continuously press F8 until you see the safe mode boot screen. The instructions should guide you next.

If successful, you should be back into windows except everything looks disproportionally different. That is fine. Just run the virus scanner and maybe an adware scanner like Ad aware and then see what happens.
