Do you think Hansen should have a yellow/blue tail and mane?

The owner is thinking about dying his tail & mane to match the jockeys silks in his next race...

@LauraRoss: LOL, yes, it does seem like a silly question...

    Notobessed,

At first I thought this was a boneheaded question often seen on in the Racing Section. You have my apology!

The vainglorious Dr. Hansen is the bonehead! We know he's egotistical since he named the horse after himself. Hopefully the trainer, Mike Maker can change this guy's mind. Either that or the megalomaniac just wants attention.

The Stewards may halt this guy in his tracks because I believe there is something in the Rules of Racing regarding the alteration of a horse's markings, and changing his color could certainly be construed as such.

    Thanks for posting the question!

Do either one of you remember this story about "painted ponies"?

Re: Hansen, I think it might be fun as a one-time thing. I don't think the stewards would care too much--he wouldn't be doing it to conceal the horse's identity.
