How about this for a Dream Race?
IHA, Union Rags, Bodemeister, Hansen, Algorithms, Secret Circle, Mark Valeski, Holy Candy, Out of Bounds, Went the Day Well, Now I Know, Zo Impressive. Don't you wish you could see them all run one more time?
4 AnswersHorse Racing9 years agoWhy do some thoroughbreds run better on grass than dirt?
I've heard many times that certain sires and dams were good on turf and that their offspring are or should be good on turf also. Is it something in their conformation?
4 AnswersHorse Racing9 years agoDo you think O'Neill trained IHA too hard for the Belmont?
Maybe if he had galloped him less he wouldn't have become injured?
9 AnswersHorse Racing9 years agoHow can Hansen win the Derby?
Since everyone knows he has a tendency to take the early lead and go the first 1/2 mile too fast, it seems like the other jockeys would just let him do that and then pass him at the end. Note: I think Hansen is extremely talented, but also very high strung and uncontrollable
6 AnswersHorse Racing9 years agoYour top picks for the Kentucky Derby this year?
It is getting really close now, only a few more prep races left! My top 3 right now are Union Rags, Hansen & Secret Circle with Creative Cause and Gemologist at 4th and 5th.
8 AnswersHorse Racing9 years agoPlease analyze Hansen and Union Rags conformation?
I am still learning about horse conformation, it would probably be easier if I could see a real horse instead of just pictures...could someone tell me about my 2 three year old favorites?
1 AnswerHorse Racing9 years agoWhat is the difference between a bone scan and an X-ray? (Animal Kingdom)?
Motion said the X-ray of his sore leg was OK, they are going to do a bone scan. What is it and what does it detect?
2 AnswersHorse Racing9 years agoHow can you tell if it is a two turn horse?
The TV commentators, trainers, jockeys etc. keep commenting that young 3 year old horses are/are not two turn horses. What are these opinions based on? Pedigree, physical appearance, gallop out, training performances, actual race performance, all of the above? They never really say...
4 AnswersHorse Racing9 years agoDo you think Hansen should have a yellow/blue tail and mane?
The owner is thinking about dying his tail & mane to match the jockeys silks in his next race...
2 AnswersHorse Racing9 years agoYour top 3 picks for the Kentucky Derby this year?
I know it's still early and some haven't even run in stakes races yet, but what do you think?
5 AnswersHorse Racing9 years agoWhy do they let 20 horses race in the Kentucky Derby?
I know it's great to give the long shots a chance, but it seems dangerous for the horses and jockeys.
6 AnswersHorse Racing9 years agoWhy are there so few horse races at 1 1/4 miles (10 furlongs) in the USA?
At least for stakes races, I don't see very many...
3 AnswersHorse Racing9 years agoWhat type of mare would you breed to Drosselmeyer?
Obviously he is not the fastest horse in the world...would it be better to breed him to a sprinter?
2 AnswersHorse Racing10 years agoIs it usual for a retired race horse to gain a lot of weight the first month?
They say Uncle Mo gained 100 pounds the first 4 - 5 weeks...
3 AnswersHorse Racing10 years agoWhat breed are the horses in Knights of Mayhem?
(The National Geographic TV reality show)
1 AnswerReality Television10 years agoWhy didn't Drosselmeyer race from 06/05/10 to 03/05/11?
Was he injured after he won the Belmont Stakes?
1 AnswerHorse Racing10 years agoWhat did you think of ESPN's coverage of the Breeder's Cup?
I thought it was kind of boring. Half way through Saturday's races I switched to TVG for between race coverage and found them to be a lot more enthusiastic and excited about the races, and a lot more informative and insightful. After the Classic, one of the TVG announcers, evidently a Drosselmeyer fan, was a bit quiet and eventually said he was just "stunned", which probably summed it up for most of us. :) I'm not saying that Randy Moss and Jerry Bailey don't know what's going on, they were just not very enthusiastic.
6 AnswersHorse Racing10 years agoWhy do some horses run with their tongues hanging out?
just wondering...
5 AnswersHorse Racing10 years agoAre you going to the Breeder's Cup?
If you are, and you see Shackleford, please give him a big hug for me!
