How do I take care of a belly piercing?
I got my belly button pierced, but the guy at the tattoo shop where I got it done gave me no care instructions. So how do I take care of the piercing?

I got mine done over a year ago, it's easy to care for... soak it in warm salt water 2-3 times a day for 3-5 mins each (trick to this: fill a cup with warm water and about a teaspoon of salt, pour that mix into a shotglass. Hold the shotglass, bend over so that your belly covers the shotglass and then just hold the shotglass on your belly for the 3-5 mins. when you're done with that, move the jewelry to prevent skin from growing around it and gently dry the piercing with a disposable tissue or cotton pad). Once daily, in the shower, just clean it thouroughly with dial or softsoap. Always remember to wash your hands before and after handling your piercing, and keep lotions/sprays away from your piercing as it heals. I hope this helps :)

My 14 year old daughter got hers done 7 months ago and she did a great job of keeping it clean and she was so happy to finally be able to change it last month. Basically, they gave her a solution to use with hers, but I know that you can also use a saline solution. You do want to move it around and twist it also. NO SWIMMING!!! Chlorine doesn't help it!!!
Hope that helps ya out!!!
