Isn't it so sad that the Conservative Republicans fail to see the uplifting message...?

in the Chrysler Super Bowl commercial narrated by Clint Eastwood.

Have they become so bitter and callous that they will attack any uplifting message that could lift America's morale?

Because they were so wrong about the auto bailout they would rather not be reminded that it save over a million jobs.

As a conservative Republican I have to say the Clint Eastwood ad didn't bother me at all.

Much as I admire Eastwood professionally, I could not care less about his product endorsement or his political views (if any were even expressed in the ad). I did get a rather "Pro Obama" feel from the ad - intended or not - but I was neither surprised nor impressed.

Nothing Hollywood says can affect my vote.

Not altogether Conservative and never a Republican but I didn't even realize it was a commerical until the end of it. The way it was filmed in darkness and Eastwood's voice made me depressed rather than uplifted. Oh, and Detroit is still a s***hole.

I'd prefer to get the "uplifting message" via a check from Chrysler. They can keep their Obama propaganda.

I had no problem with the commercial. I just failed to see how it actually relates to a dying city like Detroit.

You understand that Eastwood is a Republican who openly was against the bailouts?

As you'll recall Rush Limbaugh (and some other conservatives) wanted America to fail.

The idea that America is winning, is a message conservatives hate.

The Republicans are looking to pick a fight. They're losing this election so they want to get their base excited and angry and get them down to the polls in bigger numbers. They desperately want people to believe that Obama caused this recession and that it's not getting better. So they saw the ad as an opportunity to further their own agenda.

Some of us were getting a domestic beer from the fridge. What did the old guy who had sex with that wrinkly old woman in a bathtub in that stupid bridge movie have to say?

The uplifting message to Americans: Corporate Bailouts are fine. Nevermind the fact that competition could not arise to put our irrelevant products behind us. Please support our local union and local government by allowing us to force you to buy our products.
