I'm gonna go with the possibility that there's a floating ground problem with your electrical;.... find the grounding strap hooked to a water line somewhere, and go to your favorite home improvement retailer and buy a 8ft copper grounding rod.

Hammer that baby all the way down, clamp the ground to it,........enjoy.

Don't worry. You have the power to shoot electricity from your fingers. An agent will be by to check you out and recruit you later this week.

Heating element may have lost some of it's insulation around coil, you should have unit checked and would have both elements replaced while they are in there.
