How does the 1/2 shekel work?

Is it the same if you use 2 1/2 shekel like if you just used 1 regular shekel?

Two half shekels to be used as one Shekel?

It needs some mathematician to decide.

I am afraid I cannot help you.

    1/2 shekel + 1/2 shekel = 1 shekel. Or 2*(1/2 Shekel) = 1 shekel. Your assumption is correct.

It is the same, and it's analogous to using a 50 cent coin and using another to get one full dollar. Or 4 quarters for something that costs $1.

Yes, 2 half Shekel coins, equel 1 Shekel (=100 Agurot). A half Shekel coin equals 50 Agurot.
