How can I improve on my guitar writing? (Link)?

I play lead guitar for a band called His Last Breath, for a while I've been trying to get my song better and better, and it has been, but I just want some more advice, so any opinions are welcome, whether you like the music or not. Anybody's opinion is accepted, whether you know how to play guitar or not. Also, I'm not sure, but it might require you to like the page first, but I'm going to take it off for those of you that don't have Facebook.

I've heard a lot of really good metal core music. If you want to improve, you should listen to the most popular metal core music today and then ask yourself why that music is popular? If you want to be a success in the music business, it's all about giving people the music they want to listen to. So, you need to start there. Then, ask yourself how can I improve on the most popular metal core today. Metal core does NOT able to be boring or monotonous. Try this also, what is the absolute most popular music today of any genre? Listen to that and then ask yourself how you might be able to merge that style of music or convert that style of music to metal core. Experiment with different and unusual chord changes. don't get stuck in the rut of playing the same chord changes is every song. The most popular bands of all time all had a huge variety of sounds and flavor of music to offer their audiences. They may have been stuck in one genre for a while, but, all their songs in that genre sounded different and they all incorporated things that a lot of people would be attracted to. Different beats, different catchy riffs, amazing lyrics, out of this world guitar solos, etc, etc. It sounds to me like you guys are just playing without any thought given to how your audience will receive your music. How can you give that audience more of what it truly wants. If you do, that audience will grow and they will pay you millions of dollars to do what you do. Thy this. Take the most amazing riff you have ever heard and play it backwards. now how can you improve on the way it sounds in reverse? Create something great by starting with something that is already great but, make it your own.

The first thing you should be doing however, is mastering your instruments and that requires a lot of individual practice. I can tell you have not been spending enough time with your instruments.
