How can I improve upon my guitar writing?

I play lead guitar for a band called His Last Breath, for a while I've been trying to get my song better and better, and it has been, but I just want some more advice, so any opinions are welcome, whether you like the music or not. Anybody's opinion is accepted, whether you know how to play guitar or not. Also, I'm not sure, but it might require you to like the page first, but I'm going to take it off for those of you that don't have Facebook. It's metalcore, so keep that in mind.

Update:

I don't really solo with this band, so I wasn't planning on it. And I turned my reverb down a lot, it's only about a quarter of the way up, which is where I like it. And I play other genre, I'm looking more for like little advanced things to incorporate.

wow i really like this genre

would like u all to b successful and come up with good songs

listen to some great bands of any genre of metal like iron maiden, metallica, etc and play them on your guitar

u must be a good guitarist so it would be easy for you and then try to remake those tunes on your guitar and try to make them sound good

after this u will get ideas of making new tunes

    best of luck

try to play around with different genres. don't just make your solos sound like metalcore for example. try putting a little reverb in your distortion and messing around with modes and stuff. it might give it a completely different sound than normal. so that way you'll still sound metalcore but also have a unique twist on it.
