The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: old audio version request?
I need the ISBN number.
I'm looking for the one, about an hour long, it was on cassette when I first found it, about twenty years ago, and when Ford Prefect is introduced they said, "...he will enter our story in SEVENTEEN POINT TWO SECONDS and say 'Hello Arthur'..."
17.2 seconds is the only way I can explain which one it is.
The front was kind of blue with a green guy sticking out his thumb and it said "Don't Panic."
On the back he had both thumbs in his ears wiggling them like "nyah nyah nyah nyah nyah nyah!"

The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams book is really a collection of all five books in the Hitchhiker's trilogy (um, ya, five books shouldn't be in a trilogy but thats how this series works), written by Douglas Adams. However, I had no previous experience with these books or with Douglas Adams and I thoroughly enjoyed reading them in this form. I couldn't image having read one of the books, then having to wait to get the other one. This series really is meant to be read in its entirety. The entire story flows throughout each book and needs to be read in order too.

I thought the 6 episode radio version was the earliest, broadcast in 1978, and followed by a second series a year or two later. One hour wouldn't fit it all in.
Amazon has the boxed set, but it's quite expensive.
