Can nondisjunction occur in males and females?
I read that it's more common in males, but does occur in females. If trisomy 21 is present in the karyotype, can that tell me whether or not the child in question is a boy or girl?

NDJ happens in both males and females.
Both boys and girls can have Down syndrome, caused by trisomy 21, so that information alone is not enough to specify a gender. You'd need to look at the sex chromosomes. But hey, you luckily happen to have a karyotype right there, so just move your eyes slightly to the right.
