Which name is better - Rebecca or Rachel?

I like the name Rachel. I like it better than Rebecca because it's a little less harsh sounding, and it's pretty! Between the two spellings of Rebecca, I'd say the traditional spelling is better!

I've known several Rebecca's in my lifetime I don't remember any problems with them. However, in the past three years I've met a Rebecca who gave the name a bad name. She's extremely indecisive, frustrating and I've decided crazy. Funny enough this girl has a sister named Rachel who is pushy and obnoxious. However, before these two I considered these good names and still do if I forget about them. Also I have a cousin named Rachel she's very outspoken. I think both names are cute I think I associate Rebecca more with smart.
