Does Time Machine back up applications?
I am thinking about using Time Machine to back up my Macbook onto an external hard drive, but I am wondering if Time Machine backs up all your applications in addition to documents, music, photos, etc.? I have numerous expensive applications on my computer (Final Cut, etc. in addition to iLife) that I would like backed up in case something happens to my computer. If Time Machine doesn't do the trick (or even if it does) does anyone know of a cloud-based service that backs up applications? Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes. Time Machine automatically backs up your entire Mac, including system files, applications, accounts, preferences, music, photos, movies, and documents.
