I am looking to buy a "prosumer" camcorder similar to the Canon GL2 or XL2 except that it needs to be able to transfer video to a computer via USB instead of just by firewire as the GL2 or XL2 does. I also don't want a small camcorder - I want it to be at least as big as the GL2. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

I am thinking about using Time Machine to back up my Macbook onto an external hard drive, but I am wondering if Time Machine backs up all your applications in addition to documents, music, photos, etc.? I have numerous expensive applications on my computer (Final Cut, etc. in addition to iLife) that I would like backed up in case something happens to my computer. If Time Machine doesn't do the trick (or even if it does) does anyone know of a cloud-based service that backs up applications? Thanks in advance for your help!

I have checked out a few popular online backup services and all of them say that they only back up music, photos, and documents...not software programs. I have a few expensive software programs on my computer which I don't want to have to purchase again if my computer gets damaged, lost, etc. Is there any way to back up EVERYTHING on my computer including software programs like Final Cut, etc.? If so, how? Thanks!

I bought the 13" Macbook around 1 1/2 years ago without noticing the lack of a firewire port. I then bought Final Cut Express and installed it on my Macbook. Recently, I just went a bought a Canon GL2 camcorder off of eBay to help me with my business. This camcorder needs to be connected via firewire to transfer video to the computer. With no Apple adapter available I bought this adapter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NZI48W) from Amazon to see if it would work, and it didn't. Any ideas?

I have three options for caller ID readout:

1) Ringtone only

2) Caller ID Readout and Ring

3) Caller ID Readout Repeating

Just having a ringtone play works fine, but when I try and either have it on option two or three it just says "call from so and so" and then does not ring afterwords or repeat. In case it makes a difference my phone is an LG Cosmos and I just bought it today. Thanks!

Right now I am in 8th grade and am an average to a little bit above average baseball player. I really want to make the high school team next year. The problem is I play 1st base and the best player in the school, who is one grade ahead of me also does. If I continue to play 1st base the only year I could possibly start on the varsity team would be my senior year, and that doesn't give me a lot of time to get noticed by scouts. My other options would be to either play second base or to play third base. I am not very fast and I am big so I don't think second would be a good option, and my arm is not my top strength. I feel most comfortable playing 1st base, but I don't think I would have a chance to beat out the top player. What should I do?

When calibrating the battery of a new macbook, online it says to let it stay plugged in even after fully charged for 2 hours. Is it ok to let it sit plugged in fully charged for more than those two hours though or will that mess up the calibration?

I've been looking online and I can't seem to find the box set of DVD's for Survivor seasons 3-8...is there a website anybody knows of who sells them? Are they even made. I even tried looking on iTunes store....nothing. Thanks in advance for your help.

I see a used working iBook for $100 or Craigslist. I'm debating whether I should buy that or a new laptop/netbook under $300. I'd be using it for writing books, internet, and possibly editing a few videos. Suggestions?

I'm not sure if I should get a netbook or a cheaper laptop. My two main uses would be internet and writing with word. Is the keyboard on a netbook too small to write comfortably with? Also I would be using CD's from time to time but can't I always buy an external drive? How much RAM would I need? Thank you.
