Are thin women not real women, too?

The reason for this is because of a question that was posted some minutes ago. It seems that many women who are overweight, obese, or leaning towards chubbiness always say 'this is what real women look like'. Are they suggesting women who are size 2, 4, or 6 are not real women? I thought we all had XX chromosomes.

Do they consider women who are not fat to be some sort of bimbo airhead? It's like they have to put down women who weigh less to feel better about their bodies.

Update:

Imabeast- I never believe a less than 0 size is healthy. Healthy is important and I don't even like Hollywood. What am I supposed to call women who are overweight? And many people use the word chubby, I never thought it was an insult. Yes, many thin women do make fun of fat girls and many of them are seen as bitches. While many fat women make fun of fat girls but they don't get looked down upon. It seems you have some issues and believe anyone who isn't a size 12 to be mean.

I say the same thing ...meaning...many size 2 chicks don't even seem real ...but u showed ur hand in saying obese or leaning towards chubiness.....hollywood perpetuates this image that a -0 size is the way to go because someone decided it was "the look" back in the 50's ...the worlds greatest pin ups were an average of a size 14...then Twiggy Harris came into play as a model and the industry kept her in everyone's face and made her size the standard ...60 yrs later being slightly thicker is obese ....I am 5'10 228 lbs and I am maybe 25% body fat and I am considered obese ..not by opinion...by a dr ...

I kno guys that are tall and skinny and have been told that they are obese because they weigh more than the BMI says 4 u to weigh...its ridiculous...but now the times are changing and more women are learning that being a straw is as unhealthy as being a cow ...so they are appreciating a balance and not starving themselves so they can be a - 0 ....I get that some women are naturally small...but don't get upset when a thicker woman is ok with how she is ...

and to further answer ur question....skinny women put down bigger women all the time and when bigger women pose a question like urs they get told "lose some weight then" ...but as soon as a thicker woman does the same ...its automatic jealousy.....really listen to urself

EDIT: I kno that ...u asked a question I gave my perspective....overweight has become more interpretive these days than factual ....and I said basically many of these big women u are referring to are acting like the skinny women u are talking about .....its people basically..Idc how many TD's l get thats the truth of the matter .....an insecure A hole is an insecure A hole no matter the size...I have no issues with thin women....I am not that attracted to thin women that are straight up and down...but if they have curves I am good...I hate one-sided arguments or people faulting one group for something they'd do themselves

Yes, of course. A woman of size 2 who is just as much woman as one who is size 16. This need for some women to shame healthy, thin women is appalling. I’m definitely not that guy who expects every woman he sees or dates to be the thin, model type, but it’s time the stop with this nonsense. Stop with the jealousy and hatred.

Those women are trying to make themselves feel better by putting others down, which stems from insecurity. As cliche as what I just typed may look, I believe in my heart of hearts that it's true.

It has nothing to do with you, I promise.

I am obese and I've never said that thin women aren't "real." I was raised better than that.

    We can both be attractive.

When women speak, it's important to remember that they're telling you how they feel, not necessarily something which makes sense, or which they've checked for any kind of underlying coherent reasoning.

They're just jealous and bitter, so no, they don't believe Size 2s are real women. To be fair, they probably don't associate with very many Size 2s, out of a class struggle that's been ingrained in them from the time they were very small. So they probably don't understand the struggles these women face in life, or what it's like to be in their shoes. They probably think these women have it all, which is untrue.

I hate that phrase. My looks fall into the smaller end of "real woman" and it actually offends me to be called that.

The weirdest part of that question, to me, was that I'm also 140 pounds at 5'6", but I'm a size 6, sometimes 8 US.

EDIT: It's just a sort of shaming tactic.

idk why they want to force the fat woman motif on everyone, instead of just trying to be healthy, seriously, treadmill, 20 minutes a day, 3-4 times a week (make time for that), and cut down on the McD's really that's all you need. You'll look healthier, happier, prettier.

They gotta be on the thinner side for me... (let's not force it, I don't want a bag of bones, but you know what I mean right?)

  • As long as you have a vagina, you're a women. But size doesn't matter...Character does. Some women can't help what they look like, but others take it into their own hand.

  • I just LOVE women hahaha ^_^ and I cry when I think about all the cute women that I can't hug or that don't have a home <3

Well, as the asker pointed out, it would be better to call them "average", and in the developed world, the average woman IS overweight.

    You're oversensitive.
