If someone can get an ID free from the state, what's the downside to Voter ID laws?

There is no downside for honest voters. The libs are against it because if everyone would have to show ID it would cut way down on all those dead people voting for Obama.

The Republicans are using these laws knowing that the ones most likely not to have any ID would normally vote Democratic. They are hoping these people will forget or put off getting an ID until its too late. It won't be a lot, but it does give them an edge.

there is no downside.

everyone has an ID. liberals play it off like an ID is very expensive, and difficult to obtain. but they really just want to commit voting fraud.
