Submitted a job application online?

I am going to submit a job application online. Approximately how long will it take for them to contact me? Will they still contact me if they are not interested in interviewing me or have no open positions? It's an application for an ice cream shop. Thanks for all answers and God bless (:

In my experience, it could be a few days, a week, or never. If they do contact you (usually via email), it could be either a rejection or to schedule an interview. If they didn't contact you and it's been over a week, move on. In my opinion, it's better to show up in person and ask to speak to the manager regarding available positions. Even if you are directed to the online application, at least the manager knows who you are and that you're interested in working for her/him.

    Good luck!

It just depends how dire they need someone. Give it several weeks. They probably won't contact you though if they are not interested.

    About a week at most
