Motorcycle collision insurance?
Is this a good idea if its a 2001? Its not manditory, no loan. $4000 bike. Does it cover non accident damage? Like the bike falls/gets knocked over? Vandalism? Thanks
Good answers!! It works out to $150 more a year for the DELUXE policy (won't break the bank, but I hate giving money away as much as the next guy)

Very likely there would be a 'deductible' amount in the insurance policy, so unless it's highly damaged it seems like you'd be paying for something that was not really necessary.

For that type of damage you would need comprehensive insurance which often is attached to collision coverage but won't be on budget policies. Theft also. Collision covers your bike if you crash it or if someone hits you and doesn't have liability insurance. You need uninsured motorist protection for that as well. Whether it's a good idea or not depends on the cost and your personal situation financially.
