why don't airplane fuel tanks use human farts instead of jet fuel to power them?
they could have lots of humans sit on a small thing that makes them fart alot. that could fill the tank up. this would be way cheaper than using jet fuel.
i mistyped the question. what i meant is why don't airplanes use human farts to power their engines?

Not enough BTU's of energy in methane gas to produce enough power to operate a aircraft engine. Plus there would be the need for huge pressurized tanks to contain the gas.
Jet fuel is still the best source of energy to operate a jet engine.

Ive lit a fart before And the flame did go up a bit. But if that was even close to how flammable jet fuel was, then I would not have an *** right now. P.S. Dont go posting your ideas online because somday if u really have a good idea, and you post it on here, someone will steal it in a heartbeat.

Farts are methane gas, not a solid like jet fuel. We don't have "fart-jet" engines yet. Maybe you could invent that? Start by drilling a hole into your skull and letting the air out.

The gas we fart does not burn in the same way as the fuel for planes.
It has been modified especially for the airplane.

Wrong type of natural gas used as a fuel. The energy released from fossil fuels when they are burned is much more efficient.

Maybe if we had like... 4000 people on one plane we could power a class 6 plane, you don't release that much methane

I think this guy has been sniffing fuel tanks!
