Has anyone on here Used the Ancestry.com.au site?

I just want to know if it's worth my time and money looking on it.

So if anyone has any luck on it and they could let me know that'd be awesome! Cheers Mate.

Ancestry.com.au site? No, but have used it widely in the US

    with truly remarkable results.

Example: I met an absolutely fascinating 80 yr old man in another state where we were camping. We bonded as friends and ,as friends will, shared stories and experiences around the campfire.

As it turned out, he had no regular income because our Social Security had denied him benefits because he had no birth certificate. He came from a family of migrant farm workers. and births weren't generally registered back then.

Well, to me this was a challenge.I, with my wifi laptop began searching on Ancestry.com and was able to trace his lineage a long way back.that contained official documents; One of those being a census his mother had filled out when he was 6 yrs old , along with his World War 2 military records. After compiling theses documents and sending them to the local SS office, he was granted benefits and a lump sum as well.

He became my best friend and he lived comfortably off his monthly check for the remainder of his life. He passed away 3 yrs ago this month and I still think of him every day.

It was wonderful to be able to give him the piece and comfort he had earned and deserved

Every bit of it was because of Ancestry .com. I could not have done it without them.
