Why do some people belch in the most obnoxious way possible?

I swear my mother in law does this to watch me cringe every time. That or she just thinks its funny... she always giggles after wards.

I asked a question about why is this frowned upon.

It's anatural bodily function, get over it and grow up. You sound like it's a problem much bigger than it is.

@Sam, I have manners and I rarely belch or fart in public, but blowing nose, why should you care, It's either that or have problems with the mucus going down your throat and annoying you, and getting a sore throat. Which would you rather have, good manners, or a sore throat for 4 days? I think I know, haha.

Maybe they are like that OR they just want to annoy you.

Same reason others fart, - they are EXPRESSING themselves gastronomically.

They think they are funny. Or they want attention.
