Is the Mortal Instruments series good, and is it good for boys and girls?

I'm a girl and it was an amazing series. I'm not sure if a guy would love it as much, because it has a lot of romance. But some of the parts are from a guy's POV and there is a lot of action, so I think it appeals to both genders.

Obviously it's a good series.

Plus, they are making it into a movie, so.....

Well I'm a girl and I liked it. I'm not a boy so I couldn't tell you if a boy would like it or not.
