Multiplying both sides of equation problem?

C equals ??

    Malevolence and Coronodo are correct.

    If you're still getting "Wrong" for "None of the above," there must be a misprint in the equation, or the answer key, or the computer program.

    If the equation is supposed to be

    9c = 405

    you would divide both sides by 9 and get

    C=45

    and that's not there either.

    So, something is messed up!

    That's why we hate multiple choice questions in math.

    C=3645

    (C/9)(405/1)

    All whole numbers can be put over one and it doesn't affect the numerical value. You cross multiply. C*1 would equal C. Then 9*405 equals 3645. So thats how you get C=3645 then you enter the number into the equation and check your work.

    1. Get rid of paranthesis. Subtract nine on both sides and you got your answer
