hp m260n media edition hard drive connection problems?
I usually know what I am doing and have been working wit computers for quite a while, but I am no pro and I would like some help. I am working on an hp m260n media edition that used to run xp and now runs linux. It was running fine but that tower has a bad habit of taking large amounts of dust so I removed the hard drive and a few other components to clean it out. I know for a fact that I plugged every thing else in fine but the hard drive. there are several power cables that are exactly the same and now I can't get the computer to start. I would really appreciate your help.
@ratter_of_the_shire - (it is an ide drive) Some times I would get a message drive 0 not found so i moved the jumper then it would not give me anything. I got it working though. I guess it was being picky. Thanks for the help

Any power cable that fits in the slot should work. (Flat four pin for IDE drives, and the tall L for Sata drives). IDE cable can sometime be picky about what is plugged in where.
Also what does not starting involve?
Does the computer POST or do you get a disk not found error?
