Star Trek is more sophisticated than Star Wars in the sense of how fights were and how it was very diplomatic. Star Wars was a more down to earth type, choosing to fight when diplomacy was lost. The battles were personal in the sense that people would fight with melee weapons (Light Sabers) over phasers. IMO, they are both great and cannot be compared really.
The first Star Wars movie is Episode IV: The New Hope.

Star Wars is larger than life, the Hero's Journey for the new age. Star Trek tackles real issues, such as raceism, sexism, nuclear war, refugee status, sexual orientation (sort of) whatever the issue of the day might be. So it is hard to compare.
But watch Star Wars 456, then 123.

STARWARS 4 "A NEW HOPE"
and personally STAR WARS is better than star trek

Star wars and its officaially called "Star Wars episode 1, the phantom menice" but episodes 4 5 and 6 are the real classics because they were made first
