Saab owners please help me decide?

I am considering the purchase of a 2004 Saab sports model. What is the record on these for reliability? Are they trustworthy and relatively cheap to repair? Are the parts easy to find?

any Saab that was created between 2000 and 2010 should be avoided like the Black Plague. Once they got bought out by GM after '99 the reliability went directly to hell. a 2004 Saab is basically a jazzed up saturn. they went Swedish again after 2010 though if your thinking of buying a newer one. Don't do it my man, youll save yourself a LOT of money and frustration. Saabs before 2000 if kept in good condition are highly recommended and reliable.. but AVOID THE TURBO EDITIONs they have awful sludging problems no matter how greatly maintained

I have a 2004 linear , had it for 2 years now and put over 2600$$ so far ,regular maintenance ,car runs like a jet on the highway and does bad on bumpy pot holed roads .If you pick it up at 70000miles you will be putting for sure 2000$ to start.Bottom line car is great if you have the cash to fix it.
