Ancient mentality inner voices as gOds?

Wound that be one of the attributes which would give the voices the feeling of being omniscient and all knowing? Since the left hemisphere sees detail, breaks up patterns looking at different parts while the right hemisphere fits things together, perhaps the initial question lay more deeper than the cortex?
