My cat is not using her litter box and wheezing?

It depends on if she has discharge on her nose or not. If she has discharge its a respiratory disease and you need to see the vet. I agree, change the litter to a dust free, non clay litter. Your cat seems to not like the litter and avoid the box. make sure you use a unscented litter as cats are sensitive to smells and she might not like the smell of the litter. If she is still wheezing after the changing to a dust free litter have her checked by the vet as there are a few diseases that cause wheezing.

You should talk to the vet. But before you do that, you should get dust free litter. That could cause wheezing. But, not making it to the box, you might want to move the box. I'm no vet, but I think you should call yours. Hope I helped.

It can be a respiratory infection, a cold, or many other things. Take her to a vet as soon as possible. Is she going into the box, but messing outside it, or is she just not going into it? If she is missing but inside the box, you may want to get a bigger box or one that has a cover. If she is not going into it, try taking the litter out and treating the plastic with baking soda and water to really clean it.

Please take her to the vet asap and update us. Tidy cats is also a good litter not too dusty. My cat has allergies and gets asthma because of it. Gets a steroid and allergy shot once a year and is fine. Not being able to breathe is horrible. So please take the cat. Could be respiratory infection too. But seems more like inhalant allergy which can cause asthma.

im no doctor, but that sounds like heart worms to me. when i first got my dog he couldnt hold in his waste. he also sometimes had trouble breathing. we took him to the vet, gave him a shot, heart worm medicine and now he is good as new!
