Word 2007 pasted text is blank unless paragraph marker is chosen?

I have Word 2007 and some how now whenever I type or paste text into a blank document it is blank....it does appear when I choose to reveal the paragraph marker icon but if I don't choose to see all the formatting it is gone.

How can I fix this... - I've tried using different styles on (normal, no spacing, etc) but they are all the same. HELPPPP

I haven't heard of this before but when you choose to copy a paragraph, copy the paragraph mark that follows the paragraph. The one right at the end of the paragraph is what I am referring to because that holds the formatting for the paragraph.

In Word Options (Click the Office Button and choose Word Options at the bottom of the box). Click the Advanced choice, then scroll down to the Cut, copy and paste, and make sure that "Use Smart Cut and Paste is Chosen". You also want to have the Show Paste Options buttons selected. Click OK.

If this fails, it is possible that the text being pasted is being formatted as "hidden" text. You can verify this by having the cursor in the paragraph and then clicking on the Home tab, Font Group (Expanded) and see if the Hidden check box is selected. It shouldn't be. Click OK.

A rather remote possibility is that the text is formatted as white in color.

If the behaviour still persists, the normal template is probably corrupted in some manner. I would locate the normal template by clicking on the Start Button and entering Template in the search field. A folder called Templates should be presented. Click on this template folder then find the normal template and delete it. When you start Word, the normal template will be re-created, resetting Word back to its default settings with a brand new normal template to work with.

If this behaviour is evident in other programs like Excel, Powerpoint, Word pad, there is a possibility that a font has become corrupted and should be uninstalled and replaced with a newer version.

This would be evident if the font of the copied text was different than the font in the inserted text.

i anticipate you've the textual content content textile you want on your slides in be conscious. in case you in straight forward words reproduction and paste into the extremely slides, you'll both finally end up with each and each and every of the textual content on one slide or ought to reproduction and paste each and every little bit of textual content into that is own slide. do this quite - bypass to the domicile tab in PowerPoint --> New Slide (pulldown close to the left aspect) --> pull it down and decide Slides from outline --> browse on your be conscious record --> hit Insert. PowerPoint will take a raffle at a thanks to interrupt out the record into slides (by using paragraph marks, i imagine). you may then bypass to the outline view (contained in the traditional artwork view with the slide miniatures on the left aspect, look on the best of the miniatures for the outline tab and click on it). you may wreck the strains, demote and promote them, etc. to clean up what is going on what slide. those are all contained in the slide carry close now, so that you position your formatting there.
