If I have a health problem and no primary physician, should I just go to the emergency room?

Or should I seek a primary physician first? I know if it's an emergency where I should go. What's the cost difference between going to a physician or emergency room?

Don't go to the ER, you;ll pay out the kazoo.

If you have no primary care physician, you should find one.

Look under "physicians" in your phone book, and start making some phone calls, See how soon you can get an appointment.

In the meanwhile, if you have an urgent health problem, go to an urgent care or convenient care clinic,. You will only pay a fraction of what the ER would charge, and chances are they could refer t you to a primary care physician for continuing care, or they could do it for you...
